Birthday Party!!
Hi y'all!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had my 18th birthday party on Saturday night, and I wanted to show y'all a few pictures from the evening's festivities!!
The "Goodie-Bags"
My mother found wonderful monogrammed cosmetic bags for the guests.
Each bag had a Benefit gift card...
...a sparkly cocktail ring...
...and Lindt chocolate!!
My mom hilariously themed the party to be all about Disney Princess, so everything was wrapped in pink Princess bags!!
Here was the finished product!! They were also the place cards for the seating arrangement at the restaurant!!
The Cake
Here is my adorable cake!! It was so good, it was yellow cake with whipped cream icing!! My family and I are slowly but surely chowing down on it every night!! It is absolutely huge!!
The Party
I had such a great time and I'm so excited for my actual birthday tomorrow!!
Have a great day!!
xoxo, Hannah

Equestrian Inspired Fashion
I absolutely adore any and all things equestrian inspired. I wrote a post a looong time ago called "Equestrian Style" and it featured editorials and advertisements with horseback riding outfits, but I'd like to show y'all the basics to creating your own equestrian inspired outfits!!
Tops
Ralph Lauren Buchanan Cabled Patch Crewneck |
I looooove sweaters with "gun patches" on the shoulder. One of my favorite RL sweaters has one, and I wear it all of the time!! They're kind of an addiction in my family. Ralph Lauren is the only brand I've come across that has them, but to be honest, they're the best you can buy anyway.
Bottoms
Ralph Lauren Palmero Suede Patch Jodphur |
If you want to get really into the equestrian look, buy some jodphurs!! Above, the RL jodphurs are so pretty. They're the more expensive and less authentic option...the "fashion" choice.
Devon-Aire All Pro Hipster Riding Breeches |
The alternative is real jodphurs from a horseback riding outfitter website. I have a riding store 5 minutes away from me which is great for all of my equestrian inspired needs. I used to wear black "winter jodphurs" from Kerrit, which were basically thick, fleece, black leggings with suede patches. I don't know what the best brands for jodphurs are, though, but I can always ask my equestrian best friend, hDb!!

Obsession: Gel Manicures
I don't know about y'all, but I have to have my nails done no matter what. I have had my nails consistently painted since I was 11 years old. I have my regular salon very close to my house, so I can always sneak in and get my nails done if I'm short on time and don't want to drive very far.
A couple of days ago, I didn't have much homework so I went after school to get my nails done. My favorite manicurist has been begging me for months to try the new OPI gel manicure, and I finally gave in after seeing the wreck that my French manicure had become since the last time I had them done.
When you get a gel manicure, it's not very different from a regular French manicure (with the exception that after every layer I would put my hards under a LED light). They give you a base coat, then the pale pink layer, but when my darling manicurist started to apply the white polish, I was amazed!! She had an actual paintbrush and was forming the white line with it! I thought it was so cool. Then she finished off the manicure with the 2nd pink layer and a top coat. After about 5 minutes of my hands under a LED light, there's spraying and moisturizing and other nail salon goodies going on, but all in all it didn't take any longer than a regular manicure!!
It's supposed to last for 2-3 weeks, which is LOVELY considering I usually mess up my nails the day after I get them done. I don't know how they take off the gel polish, though...I'll keep y'all posted!!
Have y'all gotten a gel manicure done before? Let me know!!
Just as a little plug, I'm thinking of doing the vlog this weekend so if you have any last minute questions you want me to answer, comment on this post with them! Thanks so much!!
Have a great day!!
xoxo, Hannah
