A casket,or jewelry box is a period for a container that is generally greater than a box, and smaller than a chest, and in the past was ordinarily decorated.
Caskets are frequently made in precious components, such as gold, silver or ivory. In ancient East Asia, caskets generally made in wood, china, or protected with selk. Some of these caskets could be collected as decorative boxes.
Some instances have stayed above flooring from the late Roman Empire. The 8th century Franks Casket and 10th-11th century Veroli Casket are both in elaborately carved ivory, a popular fabric for luxury boxes until ultimately modern centuries.
