Prepping for Christmas!!

On Monday, once we arrived in Jackson Hole, my family and I started to put up our Christmas decorations!! My brother had fun taking pictures of everything, so here are the best from the day!

For some reason, putting on the lights is always a hassle....

My mother needlepoints everything, so here are some of her needlepointed ornaments!

Have a very merry Christmas eve!!

Holiday Party Dresses!!

Since Christmas is around the corner, I thought that I should post my favorite dresses that would be perfect for holiday parties!!!

Lilly Pulitzer Blossom Dress
I love how Lilly made the typically summer-worn Blossom Dress adorable for winter! I've seen this dress in stores and it's too cute.

Lilly Pulitzer Crystal Dress
This is one of my favorite dresses from Lilly this fall. It's sparkly and such a cute LBD! Lilly makes black super girly and I love it!!

Lilly Pulitzer Elias Dress
This dress reminds me of a Christmas present!!

Lilly Pulitzer Eryn Dress
This dress was a past Lilly OOTW, and unfortunately I haven't gotten the chance to wear it yet. I'm so happy though, I'm going to a party on Saturday night and I'm going to be wearing it! I've been trying it on just for fun and I am so in love with it, I'll be wearing this all next year in college!!

Tommy Hilfiger Holiday Tartan Strapless Dress
I love anything tartan/plaid/madras, if you really get down to it, and I think this dress is so pretty!!

Tommy Hilfiger Midnight Sequin Shift Dress
I'm attracted to anything and everything sparkly, especially sequins. Sparkly dresses are perfect for the Holiday season!!

Lilly Pulitzer Naomi Dress
 THIS DRESS IS SO PRETTY!

Rugby Nestor Wool Crepe U-Back Dress
I actually wore this dress to my Christmas concert on Sunday!

Lands End Canvas Plaid Skater Dress
This dress was actually Mondays's Lilly OOTW, and I can't wait to wear it!!! I'm actually wearing it to a party on Friday!!

What dresses will y'all be wearing this holiday season? Let me know!!

Have a great day!!

Update: College Week

Dear Lord I'm going to have a heart attack sometime this week because I'm finally hearing back from colleges!! Early decision/early action responses are sent and my entire class is dying. Everyone is freaking out and I can't handle it!! There have been so many good acceptances but the rejections for my friends are heartbreaking!! There are not that many people in my grade but everyone still applied early to at least 1 school!! I'M SO NERVOUS!!

Most people find out online, but there are still some schools that send letters. I hear back from 2 schools this week (1 EA, 1 ED) and my family and I legitimately can't breathe whenever we get the mail. Goodness gracious, pray that I make it through this week!

Thank goodness that this is also the last week before Christmas break. All of the seniors have decorations in our hallway and I can't wait to decorate it! Tomorrow I have a big Christmas concert at a church not too far away with my school's A Capella singing group, so I'm really excited about that. On Monday I have a Christmas party with my advisory group (a small group of students from the high school who meet with a teacher during lunch on Monday's), and Tuesday I have a Mexican Fiesta themed senior lunch. Thursday is D-Day because of college-decision-reasons, and Friday is the best day of the week! It's a free dress day, so everyone wears Christmas-y themed outfits! There's also a big assembly with the upper and middle school where all the seniors sit on our stage and our theater teacher reads "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with our head of school. Then we sing "The 12 Days of Christmas" with the 6 grades singing different parts!! It's so much fun and I can't believe I'm going to be one of the students sitting on stage!! My senior year is already 1/2 way over!!!

Also, for the first time in forever, I'm not leaving for Jackson Hole once school gets out! Now my family and I have a couple of days to relax and then head over to ski and celebrate Christmas! What are y'all doing for Christmas Break?

I know a lot of y'all have exams this week...good luck!! I hope they're not too horrible!!

Have a great day!!

Christmas in NYC!

Yesterday, my mother and I headed out on our annual trip to New York City that we take every fall. It was our 8th year going, and sadly it was probably our last because of my going to college next year!! This was also the latest in the year that we've ever gone, which was nice because we got to see the fabulous Christmas decorations in the city!!

We took the train in to Grand Central, which only takes about 50 minutes! It wasn't crowded at all, thankfully, and we headed out onto Madison Avenue straight away.

This picture doesn't really look like much, but if you're an avid Gossip Girl lover then you will recognize this area as being Chuck Bass' Palace Hotel!!

Here are the window displays at Tiffany's!! They were so pretty this year and my mom and I stopped at every single one to see the various jewels and the movements of the sets.

Here are the decorations at Trump Tower...

More store decorations...

And here is the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center!! It was noticeably small this year, though. Rockefeller Center was absolutely packed

I AM SO HAPPY THAT I SAW THIS. At Barney's, they were doing a special tribute display for Lady Gaga for Christmas. Since I am absolutely obsessed with Lady Gaga, I made sure that we would stop by Barney's to take pictures.

My mom and I made sure to stop by Lilly Pulitzer on Madison...

Everything is hand painted and I LOVE EVERYTHING.

My mom made reservations at a restaurant in NYC called the King's Carriage House. It was an absolutely adorable British inspired restaurant and we were so obsessed. The service was great, the food was great, and the interior design of the place was perfect!!

All in all, my mom and I had a great time shopping in New York City!

Have a great day!!
