The Biggest Dorm Room Preparation Post of All Time

Goodness gracious! For the past week, my mom and I have been getting everything set up for my dorm room in the fall! I've been getting really excited, but it's been hard to think of every little thing possible for the room! I don't find out my room mate or freshman dorm until the middle of July, so I can't really coordinate anything or plan anything with them. I'm trying to get everything done before I go on vacation, and also before everything is sold out! SO, I finally am posting everything that I have for my dorm room! I hope this helps future freshman! Also, if any college students/graduates are reading this, can you please comment with anything that I may have missed? Thanks so much! Enjoy!!

Monogrammed towels...

Trays for...whatever? It can hold pretty much anything from hair accessories and makeup to random items!

Rubber flip flops for the shower. I'm not taking my chances about walking on those floors!!

Lilly Pulitzer foldable bins for clothes, shoes, anything!

Laundry bag and bags for delicates...I have another huge laundry bag being monogrammed right now as well.

My wall goodies! I have two mini posters, a magnet board, a picture board, and a dry-erase board. 

Folders, notebooks, and sticky notes. I really don't know what people use in college in terms of binders, notebooks, etc. so if anyone has any input, please let me know!!

A jewelry box! I don't wear much jewelry and the box is bigger then it looks, so it will definitely carry everything.

Just boxes...they're going to hold printer paper and regular lined paper.

I have some picture frames...the pink and green one is Lilly (of course) and the white also comes in pink and green! I got it from TJ Maxx and it's so cute!!

In order to have all of my storage stuff in my room, I have to lift the bed!

I just got this lamp from Target yesterday! It's super cute!

Okay there is a lot of stuff in this picture so I'm going to explain it all. The removal wall hooks are for bags, etc. I also have a shower poof thing (I don't know the actual name!), razors, nail files, Advil, a digital alarm clock, batteries, cotton balls, and band-aids.

Ziplock bags, trash bags, chip clips, and cough drops!

Here are my desk accessories! I have a mini desk hutch, a pair of scissors, a stapler and staples, tape, sharpies, and tons of sticky notes@

Here is a lot of the dorm room stuff in a large plastic container from the Container Store. I bought 3 large and long containers to go under my bed for clothes/other things.

Prepping for Prom

Hi y'all!! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Prom is a little less than 1 month away and I can't wait! It's stressful to find a dress and a date, but my friends and I are pulling through. It's our last big event before graduation so we're going to make the most of it!!

Our last couple of weeks of school is really oddly planned, so here's my schedule. I have exams the last week of May (but thank goodness I only have 1!), and then I'm off on my senior class trip. That's only a couple of days, and then I'm back home to get ready for the HUGE week ahead. I have my last day of high school on Monday, and then that night. I don't have school Tuesday, and then I have an award ceremony on Wednesday. Thursday is the big day...GRADUATION!

Since it's so close to prom, I've decided to show y'all my dress! 

I love it love it love it love it LOVE IT! It's Lilly Pulitzer from their original Jubilee resort collection from 2007. I got it last year through Re-Lilly (which I totally recommend, I had the best experience with the site!), and Prom seems like the perfect occasion to wear this dress!

It's fully beaded and so pretty. Not to mention, it weighs like 10 pounds! It's so heavy!

Easter Dresses

Hi y'all! Since Easter is coming up this Sunday, I've decided to do a post on the perfect outfit for Easter Sunday!!

The Dress

The most important part of the outfit is the dress. My go-to Easter dress is, of course, Lilly. It really is the ideal brand for any occasion from April to September!! The dresses in the picture above are my top choices for a Lilly Easter dress. Look for Easter egg colors!! It may be cliché but pastel colors, like light pink, green, blue, and yellow, are so pretty for this holiday.

It's still chilly here in Connecticut, so it's good to bring a sweater to whatever church service or luncheon y'all will be attending!! I like the Paley Cardigan from Lilly Pulitzer. I wear them at least 3 times a week and they pair perfectly with Lilly dresses.

Thank goodness we're heading into springtime so I can wear Jack Rogers!! There are so many colors that y'all can wear to match with your Easter dress. My favorite Jack Rogers colors are light pink, hot pink, metallic gold and metallic silver!!
