Cute Vineyard Vines!!

Here are some adorable new-ish Vineyard Vines items from their website!

(1) The Chevron 3/4 Length Sleeve Dress from VV is a bold statement dress that will definitely show off your summer tan!

(2) The Riptide Cable Sweater is a great transition sweater from summer to fall. You can wear it to a late night beach party as a coverup or with jeans on the weekends!

(3) Since I first saw the Westerly Vest, it has actual gone out of stock! It was so popular because of how cute it is! It is definitely on my wish list for the fall for college!

(4) Maxi dresses are great for casual and formal occasions in the summer. The Maxi Chevron Dress is so much fun!

(5) The Fireworks Top is so cute for casual parties as well as for hanging out with friends!

(6) My favorite part about the Grosgrain Flip Flops is the grosgrain, obviously! There are two colors of grosgrain ribbon that you could choose from.

(7) Another transition sweater from the recent VV arrivals is the Shell Bay Sweater. It comes in the perfectly neutral colors of navy and white.

(8) I love the Party Stripe Bikini Top and Bottom! I know that VV bikinis are very cute, comfortable, and flattering, plus this one is ridiculously preppy with it's tri-colored stripes!

What do y'all like from VV? Let me know!!

The Best Raincoat Ever!

A couple of months ago I went snooping around for a rain jacket for college, and I found the best one ever from Vineyard Vines! VV is one of my favorite brands ever, and I was so happy about the great jacket I bought, the Stow and Go

I looove the light blue color, and it's also very lightweight. I lived in it during senior spring because of how comfy it was (as well as how gross it was during this past Connecticut spring). The coolest thing about this jacket is that you can, for a lack of a better word, stuff the jacket into the pocket so it can be easily packed!

Here are the other colors that the Stow and Go Rain Coat comes in:

Have a great day!!

Kentucky Derby!!

The Kentucky Derby is tomorrow (which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo and my dad's birthday), so I've put together a how-to fashion post for the big event! Enjoy!

The Kentucky Derby is perfect for sporting your Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines! I prefer seersucker over anything, so I would go straight to Lilly to find a strapless dress. They have a lot of great items in pink, white, and light blue! Also, Vineyard Vines has an adorable patchwork strapless dress for the occasion.

...and you definitely can't forget about the perfect derby hat! My favorite oversize sun-hat of all time is from Marley Lilly. It's great because you can personalize it! What's better than a monogrammed hat to go with your seersucker dress?

Vineyard Vines is the official brand of the Kentucky Derby this year, and I have to say they have really outdone themselves. I have truly fallen in love with VV this year, and I think that they have great items for men! The seersucker suit is just perfect - I love, love, love it. But, if your man doesn't want to dive headfirst into preppy waters, start off with seersucker pants, a blazer, or a seersucker bowtie/tie! My brother has a trillion seersucker ties and bowties and they're great!

What do y'all think is good to wear for the Kentucky Derby? Who's going? Let me know!!

Have a great day!

iPhone Cases

Since I absolutely cannot wait to get an iPhone this summer, here are my favorite iPhone cases that I've come across!

Classic Lilly...

Kate Spade has super cute iPhone cases! My mom has had a couple in the past, and there are so many to choose from.

I love this case, and I think it's so cool that there is a little slot in the back of the case to hold your ID and credit card! So much easier than carrying everything around!

This is my mom's current iPhone case, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Vineyard Vines just released this new iPhone case! It's blatant advertising but still classic and cute!!

What case do y'all use for your iPhone? Let me know!!

Have a great day!!

Prom Dresses

It's that time of year again!! I have my final prom in June and girls in my school have already started stressing about prom season. We have a Facebook group so that there are no dress repeats, and it's so much fun to keep track of what everyone is wearing! I have already had my dress for a while now (about a year!) and I am absolutely in love with it. But, I'm not going to post it for a while!!

I've been looking at dresses for my friends, so here are my favorite picks for prom!!

Vineyard Vines Bailey Ikat Dress
I think that the neckline on this dress is so pretty!! It comes in two colors (light blue and navy), and it's semi-formal without being too serious. My prom is (oddly) very casual, so this would be perfect to wear!!

Vineyard Vines Bouquet Dress
I love this dress. The color and the shape are both universally flattering!!

J. Crew Ella Dress in Medallion Paisley
My best friend wore this dress in a different print for last year's prom, and it was so pretty!! Of course I like the pink and orange!!

J. Crew Silk Petal Dress
This dress could actually work for prom and graduation!!

Lilly Pulitzer Amberly Dress
For the more adventurous prom-goers, I LOVE THIS DRESS. First, it's pink and green. Second, it has a bow. Third, it's strapless. It's perfect!! It's so much fun!!

Lilly Pulitzer Darleena Dress
It is a very rare occurrence that there a long dress makes an appearance at my high school's prom, so I never really webshop for them. This dress by Lilly Pulitzer is very pretty and great for a relaxed, summery-y prom!
Lilly Pulitzer Bloomy Dress
Lovely, lovely dress. The embellishment is pretty and it helps you choose which metallic for your jewelry!

What do y'all think? What are y'all wearing for prom? Let me know!!

Have a great day!

Lilly Outfit of the Week: Navy Summer

Hello!! I haven't posted a "Lilly outfit of the week" in a while, so I've decided to show y'all an adorable new dress for summer! This week's outfit is from Vineyard Vines!!

The style of the dress is incredibly flattering, and it's also nice to have a dress that isn't exploding with color!! The navy and white will look so nice with a tan. The length is also perfect as well!!

I was going to bring the dress to spring break, but due to the unfortunate realization by my mother that this dress is prone to wrinkles, I decided not to bring it. I'll wear it this spring for my last few remaining senior events though!!

Have a great day!!

Spring Break Essentials

I love Spring Break. It comes at the perfect time and it is always fun. Last year I went skiing in Jackson Hole and went on a girly vacation with my mother in Scottsdale, Arizona, but this year I am SO excited because my family and I are going to Palm Beach!! The last time I went to Florida was when I was 9 and I went on a business trip with my dad. It was great and I can't wait to go back!!

Since I'm going on a sunny getaway, filled with tanning and relaxing before I hear back from my last college notification and get ready for the extremely busy graduation festivities, I've decided to make a list of my must-have's to pack for Spring Break!!

1. The Hat: Seeing that sunscreen is an obvious must-have for being in sunny conditions, the next step to be sun-safe would be to have a great looking floppy sun hat or baseball cap!! The sun hat is great if you want more coverage. I recommend the J. Crew summer straw hat in natural...or if you want to tap into your inner prep, buy a monogrammed floppy sun hat from Marley Lilly!! I got one last summer in pink and green and I looove it. Other than the sun hat, get a baseball cap!! I think that the cutest ones come from Vineyard Vines, Southern Proper, and Ralph Lauren.

2. The Sunglasses: I think that Ray Ban's are the best sunglasses ever. Whether it be aviators or wayfarers, you honestly can't go wrong with them!! You can either get the real deal, but there are also great alternatives online. Urban Outfitters and Topshop have cute sunglasses, as well!!

3. The Entertainment: Even though lounging on the beach or by the pool can be super fun, especially after a busy fall and winter, it can get a bit boring. So, in order to combat the boredom, I always bring along a book (or 10) and my iPod! With technological reading devices such as the Nook, the Kindle, and the iPad, it's so much easier to have all of your books in one place without the bulk!! Just a side note: If y'all have any reading recommendations, let me know!! I'm trying to build up my reading list for vacation. Anyway, an iPod is a must-must-must have for vacation. Remember to bring your chargers!!

4. The Bikini: I know that I have been working extra hard these past couple of months to look extra good in a swim suit, and it's totally worth it!! There are so many cute bikinis (as well as one-pieces!) out there. My favorite bikini is, of course, from Lilly Pulitzer...specifically the Keene Bandeau and the Boardwalk Bikini Ties top. From J. Crew, I think that the seersucker bikini is absolutely adorable. Otherwise, I've heard that Victoria's Secret makes a great selection of bikinis in tons of different styles and colors. To remain classic and preppy while donning a swim suit, look for pink, pink and green, navy, seersucker and Lilly prints.

5. The Coverup: To layer on top of your adorable swimwear, you must have a cute coverup!! They can range from a sheer tunic to a brightly colored mini dress. I found a super old super small Lilly Pulitzer dress and I'm going to use that for my swimsuit coverup!! But, Lilly also has some cute current coverups, such as the Cassie dress and the Ciara tunic. I also like the Cat Island Coverup from Vineyard Vines, which comes in white and navy!! Either way, it makes you look extra tan!! Lastly, J. Crew has a large selection of coverups that are perfect for a sunny getaway.

6. The Beach Bag: In order to carry all of the summer-y goodies that are essential for Spring Break, choose a cute, brightly colored beach bag! My vote definitely goes to Lilly Pulitzer for best tote bag. They had better prints (not targeted to the sorority crowd) a couple of seasons ago, but eBay has a great selection. Since my mom stocked up when Lilly had their Endless Summer Sale a couple of years ago, I have a hard decision on which to choose for Palm Beach!!

7. The Sandal: Meaning, Jack Rogers. They are the best of the best and I love them so, so much. Yes, they do take "breaking in", but they are reliable and forever classic. My mother owns almost every color and I am slowly building a "collection." I get a new color every year and this year I chose light pink!! The best colors to own are silver, gold, nude (bone), hot pink, pink and orange, and green and turquoise. I prefer the metallic colors because they honestly go with everything. Yet, if y'all are looking for less expensive, not-as-nice sandals, check out Lilly Pulitzer.

What are y'all spring break essentials?? Let me know!!

Have a great day!!
